We investigate organic and inorganic reactivity and structure using computational methods. Our computational analysis include NMR and IR spectra, distribution of charge, electrostatic potential, transition states, etc., for big and small molecules.
Computational methos in Inorganic Chemistry. Structural and electronic study of lithium tetrahydroborate (LiBH4) in order to understand both its bonding and structural preference.
Computational methos in Organic Chemistry. In collaboration with Professor Fernando Sartillo-Piscil at "Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla" we have studied in detail the effect of internal hydrogen bonding interactions on the beta-fragmentation of primary alkoxyl radicals.
Computational methods in Biomedical Nanotechnology. In collaboration with Dr. Miguel A. Valdez at Univerity of Sonora, we have explored electronically using molecular mechanic methods with the purpose of establishing the factors that govern the molecular recognition of cyclophane-type macrocycles with the double-stranded DNA fragment (GTAAGATGATTC), obtained from the salmon DNA sequence.
